José María Castellano
José María Castellano, Spanish businessman and economist with extensive experience in business and finance, is a member of Firmum Capital’s advisory board.
José María Castellano was the CEO and Deputy Chairman of Inditex, one of the biggest companies on the IBEX-35, in whose meteoric development he played a large part for 21 years. During his time, the company expanded hugely, with numerous store openings. Today it has 7,000 establishments worldwide.
He has also been the Chairman of Abanca, a Spanish financial institution based in the region of Galicia and the Chairman of Ono, in its day Spain’s biggest cable company.
José María Castellano has a doctorate in Business and is a professor at the University of La Coruña.
Alfredo Sáenz
Alfredo Sáenz is one of Spain’s best-known banking executives. He is currently involved in several enterprises; amongst other responsibilities, he is a member of Firmum Capital’s advisory board.
Alfredo Sáenz was CEO and Deputy Chairman of Grupo Santander, the biggest bank in Spain and one of the largest in Europe, and also one of the biggest firms on the IBEX-35.
In the past he has also been CEO and Deputy Chairman of BBVA, Chairman of Banesto and Deputy Chairman of the real estate firm Urbis, one of the largest real estate firms in Spain. He has also sat on Telefónica’s Board of Directors.
Alfredo Sáenz has a degree in Business and Law.
Andrés Escarpenter
Andrés Escarpenter has over 30 years’ experience at the head of financial and real estate asset management, and is a benchmark in the sector. He is currently a member of Firmum Capital’s advisory board.
He was CEO of Jones Lang Lasalle in Spain and a member of its international board. He has also been CEO of Levitt Group, one of Spain’s best-known upper end property developers, and was on the Board of Altamira, one of the Spanish market’s largest real estate servicers.
Andrés Escarpenter has a degree in business and an MBA from INSEAD.
